One down….

As I mentioned in the last post, I’ve started a stash busting afghan that should hopefully liberate a plastic tub for me to put some nicer pretties in. I started a new job about a month ago, and as a result I go into the office much more than I used to. Which means I leave at 7:20am and don’t get home until about 7:20pm. Damn commuting anyways. My productivity on big projects like this has gone down the tubes. Although small projects like socks are perfect companions on the bus.

The afghan is now known as “The Beast” because each square is going to be a titch over 24″. The first square is done.

Pattern: Giant Granny Square
Yarn: Red Heart/Bernat
Hook 5.0mm

Much nicer on my hands is this snazzy yarn from my friend John at The Fibre Garden.

Yarn: Paca-Toes

attern: Jacquard & Stripe
Needle: 2.25mm

Today is the Knitter’s Frolic. I’ve been every year for as long as I can remember, but this year I’m sitting it out. I’m sad to miss seeing old friends and all of the goodies, but I’m feeling good about resisting the temptation to add to my rather large resource centre.
