In which I create a new species

By | April 21, 2014

Well Easter has come and gone and I managed to do it without chocolate. I’m not a big chocolate eater so really that wasn’t a sacrifice. Now potato chips…I’ll take you to the ground like a Lion on a Gazelle if you try to get in between me and a bag of chips. People have lost limbs….just sayin’.

Ahem…

On a kinder note, I finished a pair of socks this week. They are very Easter-ish colours, which got me started on the whole Gazelle thing (see above for those with a short attention span). Not that I am a Gazelle. Unless a Gazelle can be crossed with a Sloth. I can totally rock that species. If I was one would I be a Slazelle? A Gazoth?

Ahem…

The socks. Now the best thing about these socks (beside the fact that I actually finished them) is that they are negative cost socks. You’ve heard the theory of negative calorie food?  Well unfortunately potato chips are not. But these socks are the knitterly equivalent. They were $3 a ball. So the entire pair was $6. Since it took me a month to finish…calculated at an hourly rate, they owed me money at the end! I’m waiting for the cheque to arrive.

They don’t count to the 14in2014 challenge, but they were stash. So I’m taking a credit on that one.
