Remembrance Day

By | November 11, 2014

This has been a very difficult time in Canada. We lost two soldiers to senseless acts. Our nation is still coming to grips with what happened. These tragedies make Remembrance Day more poignant for us. More tangible. Closer to home.

I have always been a huge supporter of the military, making countless afghans through Heartmade Blessings to send to grieving families. My own family has a long military tradition, and Cheffie’s father was a chef on the boats in WW2.

I wanted to send a special prayer out to those both actively serving our country, and those who sacrificed so much for us.

I will remember.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
